The China Myanmar Friendship Sports Exchange Donation Event was held in Yangon, Myanmar on the 13th. More than 100 people, including representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Myanmar government officials, multiple sports associations, and athletes, attended the event. Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, Ma Jia, said at the event that international sports exchanges are an important component of China's foreign relations and a crucial way to implement the Global Civilization Initiative. Over the past decade, China has deepened sports technology cooperation with developing countries through providing equipment assistance, sending coaches abroad, and training in China, jointly promoting the development of sports, and playing a positive role in enhancing understanding, eliminating barriers, and promoting people to people exchanges. Ma Jia said that China and Myanmar are close in terms of people and culture. Today, the Chinese Embassy is donating to Myanmar Wushu, Loong Boat, Football and Rattan Ball Associations, aiming to provide support for the training and nutrition of athletes, the development and construction of associations, and contribute to China Myanmar sports cooperation. Myanmar's Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Min Den Tsan, stated that Myanmar and China are friendly neighbors. The Chinese side provides support to the Myanmar government and various sports associations every year, providing training equipment and assisting athletes in training, injecting momentum into the development of Myanmar's sports industry.
