Recently, Hefei Sizhen Chip Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sizhen") announced that its domestically developed first commercial quantum security chip QRNG10 has officially been mass-produced and produced. This is another significant progress of the quantum random number generator chip after obtaining the testing report from the Commercial Cryptography Center of the National Cryptography Administration in March this year, further accelerating the large-scale application and landing of domestic quantum security products. In the era of digital economy, the total amount of data in the whole society is experiencing explosive growth, and the number of network security threats targeting new technologies and consumption scenarios is increasing day by day. How to strengthen the security of current public, corporate, and personal data, and enhance the ability of cryptographic systems to cope with future quantum risks, it is urgent for cryptographic companies to propose new solutions. Anti quantum cryptography and quantum key technology are currently recognized as the two mainstream technological ideas that can effectively resist quantum threats. The former uses underlying mathematical problems that cannot be effectively solved by quantum computers as cryptographic algorithms to increase the difficulty of breaking public key cryptography, while the latter focuses on the true randomness of cryptographic systems. Generating reliable high-quality random numbers is a prerequisite for all encryption techniques, and the randomness strength of entropy sources determines the security of keys in information encryption systems. Quantum random number generator, derived from the intrinsic randomness of microscopic particles, generates unpredictable high-quality true random numbers locally, providing users with high-level and trustworthy security keys. Based on more than 20 years of research and accumulation in quantum cryptography technology and integrated chips by its core team, Silicon Zhen has successively launched a series of products such as QRNG PCIe cards and modules, continuously breaking through the constraints of size and successfully shrinking the original chassis based devices into hardware chips smaller than a thumb cover. QRNG10 is the first commercial quantum random number generator chip in China, with a minimum size of only 4 × 4mm. It is developed based on the principle of amplified spontaneous emission noise (ASE) and integrates all the optical systems required for a complete QRNG, as well as functions such as quantum signal acquisition and quantum strong extractor, ensuring that every quantum bit is fully entropy output. Adopting QFN packaging form, universal interface settings, compatible with mainstream commercial password products such as password cards and password machines. The QRNG10 chip has been mass-produced for the first time, announcing that Silicon Zhen will be the first to create domestically produced civilian quantum security products. The breakthrough from large to small forms has given quantum technology more possibilities in various scenarios, and the low-cost advantage brought by chipization has also opened the door for other industries and enterprises to adopt innovative security product solutions using quantum technology. In the future, Silicon Zhen will work with manufacturers to develop quantum secure smart door locks, quantum secure laptops, quantum encrypted cameras and other popular electronic consumer products based on this chip, giving ordinary people the opportunity to experience quantum technology.
