The first 2024 Global Esports Industry Conference with the theme of "Competing for the World" opened in Chengdu on the 12th. The first batch of cooperative organizations under the Global Esports Partner Program covers more than 30 countries and regions, aiming to gather global e-sports resources and promote the internationalization, industrialization, and commercialization of the e-sports industry through the theme of "Esports+". Chengdu will serve as the first model city for the international e-sports digital cultural tourism city plan, and in the future, it will also focus on the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Guangdong Hong Kong Macao and other regions, with cities such as Shanghai and Hangzhou as nodes, to create a global e-sports cultural tourism consumption destination.
