The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services Global Service Trade Summit will be held in Beijing on the 12th.   Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the summit and delivered a keynote speech.
Ding Xuexiang stated that President Xi Jinping has delivered important video speeches or sent congratulatory letters to the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) for six consecutive years, fully reflecting China's firm determination to promote high-quality development through high-level opening up. Since the new era, China has vigorously promoted high-level opening up to the outside world, accelerated the opening up and innovative development of the service industry and service trade, and achieved significant results.
Ding Xuexiang emphasized that China is willing to work with all parties to continuously deepen cooperation in the service industry and service trade, promote high-quality development of service trade through high-level opening up, and make greater contributions to the prosperity and development of the world economy. One is to jointly share new opportunities for open development, promote institutional openness in service trade, actively connect with international high standard economic and trade rules, improve the negative list management system for cross-border service trade, and steadily promote the gradient opening-up of cross-border service trade nationwide. The second is to jointly cultivate new driving forces for innovative development, improve the management and promotion system of technology trade, and accelerate the process of digitalization, intelligence, and greening of service trade. The third is to jointly expand the new space of the super large market, do a good job in expanding the pilot work of opening up in fields such as cloud computing, biotechnology, and wholly-owned hospitals, and promote the integrated development of service trade and high-end manufacturing. Fourth, we should work together to create a new environment for cooperation and development, further enhance the level of openness of the Free Trade Agreement, expand independent opening up and unilateral opening up to the least developed countries, and strengthen cooperation with countries along the "the Belt and Road" in service trade and digital trade.
Georgia's First Deputy Prime Minister Davidashvili and Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Deng Hongsen attended the summit and delivered speeches, while Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Coleman delivered speeches via video.
Before the summit began, Ding Xuexiang and Yin Li inspected the exhibition hall of the China International Fair for Trade in Services and exchanged ideas with the responsible persons of participating companies. Ding Xuexiang stated that China's door to opening up will only continue to widen. He welcomes enterprises from all countries to invest and develop in China, and to better grow and expand through sharing China's development opportunities. Encourage Chinese enterprises to improve their service capacity and level, so that more high-quality services can benefit people all over the world.
About 800 people, including representatives from relevant Chinese departments, local authorities, as well as representatives from relevant countries and regions, international organizations, multinational corporations, and overseas business associations, attended the summit.
