The "Cybersecurity Awareness Week" is a series of themed promotional activities organized around key areas and industries such as finance, telecommunications, e-government, and e-commerce, focusing on network security issues of public concern. These activities include a network security experience exhibition. The National Cybersecurity Week 2024 will be held nationwide from September 9th to 15th. On the afternoon of September 10th, the 2024 Cybersecurity Promotion Week themed event was held at the Cantonese Opera Art Museum Square in Liwan District, Guangzhou. The theme of the event is "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity Depends on the People", which aims to promote cybersecurity knowledge to the general public, effectively enhance their awareness and protection skills of cybersecurity, and create a strong atmosphere for the whole society to jointly build a cybersecurity defense line. On site open network security themed exhibitions and city strolls network security themed check-in activities, while providing legal consultation and interactive games, to popularize various common network security protection knowledge such as network security, data protection, citizen personal information protection, and network fraud prevention to the public. Taking this opportunity, Liwan District has also launched a series of promotional activities such as entering campuses and enterprises, promoting the concept of network security, popularizing network security knowledge, and promoting network security skills. Since the beginning of this year, Liwan District has carried out a series of special activities on the governance of the online ecosystem, such as "Clear and Clean", "Clean Net", and "Clear Wind", to address prominent issues affecting the online ecosystem, such as self media chaos, underage online environment, personal information leakage, online infringement, and online rumors. One is to combine online and offline activities, actively carry out network security propaganda activities, organize and mobilize more than 40 local network security propaganda activities to communities, campuses, government agencies, and enterprises, and promote network security propaganda to penetrate the hearts of the people. Secondly, we will solidly carry out network security supervision and law enforcement, deploying 175 law enforcement actions, and imposing administrative penalties on 37 units that fail to fulfill their main responsibilities, fulfill their obligations to protect network security, and protect personal information security in accordance with the law, in order to maintain a good network ecological environment. The third is to vigorously crack down on online rumors and water armies, handling a total of 6 administrative cases, 2 criminal cases, and dealing with 11 illegal and criminal personnel, effectively improving the level of network security protection in Liwan District and purifying the cyberspace.
