On September 6-8, 2024, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the "23rd Academic Annual Conference of the Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine" was held in Tianjin, hosted by the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, organized by the Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Tianjin Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and co organized by the Gynecology Professional Committee of the Tianjin Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This conference focused on the latest progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, exploring topics such as disease and technology research progress, standardization construction, etc. A sub forum was held to focus on health hotspots and the latest technologies, further promoting the application of traditional Chinese medicine technology, and exploring the research and development ideas and transformation strategies for new traditional Chinese medicine products. At the same time, a youth sub forum will be held at the meeting to provide a platform for young physicians to showcase their talents and exchange ideas. Through the exchange of typical medical cases and innovative research discussions, the vitality and creativity of the younger generation will be stimulated. Yu Chunquan, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission, stated that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Tianjin has vigorously developed the traditional Chinese medicine industry, relying on the National Medical Center to promote the construction of innovation, talent, industry, and culture highlands in traditional Chinese medicine, and has achieved initial results. In the future, we will fully implement the development concept centered on the people, provide traditional Chinese medicine services throughout the entire life cycle for the masses, and better practice the concept of healthy China development. Chen Junfeng, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that traditional Chinese medicine, as an important multi resource, has multiple values in serving the process of Chinese path to modernization. He put forward three suggestions: first, to improve the party building leading mechanism; second, to improve the academic leading mechanism; and third, to improve the comprehensive service mechanism, in order to promote the modern inheritance of academic ideas and experience of renowned traditional Chinese medicine experts and enhance the influence of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology both inside and outside the industry. Zhao Ruihua, chairman of the Gynecology Branch of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that the Gynecology Branch has been growing under the leadership of previous chairmen. In the future, it will continue to strengthen the leadership of party building, focus on academic leadership, and promote the construction and academic development of the discipline of Chinese medicine gynecology; Pay attention to the entire process of health, do a good job in science popularization, and enhance the influence of the branch. Assist the development of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology with practical actions. Academician Huang Luqi delivered a report titled "Reflections on the Construction of Advantageous Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialties". He pointed out that strengthening the construction of advantageous specialties in traditional Chinese medicine is a fundamental task in leading the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals should implement the "four specialties" strategy (specialty, specialty disease, expert, specialty medicine), build data platforms, establish a sound traditional Chinese medicine service system, and provide guarantees for the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. Professor Ye Zuguang delivered a report titled "New Policies and Developments in the Research and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine New Drugs - Interpretation of New Regulations on Traditional Chinese Medicine Registration". He comprehensively interpreted the new regulations on the registration of traditional Chinese medicine from four aspects: innovative Chinese medicine drugs, improved Chinese medicine new drugs, ancient classic Chinese medicine compound preparations, and drugs with the same name and formula, which brought great inspiration to the attendees. This conference fully embodies the theme of inheritance, innovation, and leadership, exchanging and exploring the latest research achievements, practical experience, and future development directions in the field of gynecology, providing a broader prospect for the academic development of traditional Chinese medicine gynecology.
