Recently, the Office of the Leading Group for High Quality Development of Manufacturing Industry in Zhejiang Province issued the "Implementation Plan for Innovative Development of Humanoid Robot Industry in Zhejiang Province (2024-2027)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Plan"), aiming to achieve an annual output of 20000 humanoid robots in Zhejiang Province by 2027, with a core industry scale of 20 billion yuan and a related industry scale of 50 billion yuan. The "Implementation Plan" emphasizes the collaborative development of "brain power" and proposes 5 key tasks and 14 specific promotion measures in accordance with the overall idea of "collaborative layout, systematic technological breakthroughs, clustered industrial cultivation, diversified scenario applications, and ecological innovation development". Sun Tizhong, Director of the Future Industry Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, introduced that specific measures include promoting collaborative zero integration layout, creating a Hangzhou Ningbo whole machine leading area, and cultivating collaborative areas for humanoid robot parts according to local conditions in various regions. Sun Tizhong introduced that the robot industry in Zhejiang Province is showing a regional concentration development trend, basically forming an industrial pattern with Hangzhou and Ningbo as the core, and coordinated development in Shaoxing, Taizhou and other places. How to make humanoid robots smarter? Currently, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the combination of this technology with robots is particularly anticipated. Zheng Jie analyzed that in the future, humanoid robots are expected to become the new generation of intelligent mobile terminals, involving extensive information collection, extraction, analysis, and application, and performing tasks in various unstructured environments. The Implementation Plan specifically deploys the intelligent enhancement of humanoid robots around the coordination of the whole zero layout - building an intelligent system empowerment area to support Hangzhou in developing intelligent systems such as the "brain", "cerebellum", and perception of humanoid robots, breaking through embodied intelligence technology, and developing general multimodal large models, specialized models, as well as intelligent systems such as perception and control. Specifically, Zhejiang will encourage large model enterprises to develop universal multimodal large models that are compatible with humanoid robots, accelerate brain training, strengthen abilities such as voice interaction, logical reasoning, and task planning, and encourage humanoid robot enterprises to develop specialized models for motion control, balance coordination, and mature cerebellar abilities; Focusing on visual, auditory, and tactile senses to build a multimodal perception system, improving the level of multi-sensor fusion processing, and promoting the integration and innovation of cutting-edge technologies such as brain like intelligence with robots. Establishing a supply and demand list to expand application scenarios "From the perspective of the development history of robots, industrial robots have been born to meet production needs, which can be further divided into multi joint robots, cylindrical coordinate robots, etc. To meet daily needs, service robots have emerged, involving medical, home, patrol, catering and other scenarios. Zheng Jie stated that the constantly changing production and living needs, as well as the continuous development of productivity, are the fundamental reasons for the continuous progress of humanoid robots. According to the Implementation Plan, Zhejiang will implement the "Humanoid Robot+" application demonstration project, promote innovative applications of "Humanoid Robot+Manufacturing" and "Humanoid Robot+Service" scenarios, and strive to create 50 demonstration application scenarios by 2027, making substantial progress in the large-scale application of iconic products in key areas. Sun Tizhong introduced that in terms of manufacturing scenarios, Zhejiang will focus on the fields of automobiles, home appliances, textiles and clothing, and build demonstration scenarios around the process links of loading and unloading, welding, assembly, handling, sorting, quality inspection, etc., to enhance the operation and task execution capabilities of humanoid robot tools, and create demonstration production lines, demonstration workshops, and demonstration factories in a graded and classified manner. The Implementation Plan proposes to establish a demand list and supply list for humanoid robot scenarios in fields such as manufacturing, commerce, construction, healthcare, elderly care, emergency response, and home economics, carry out "humanoid robot+" application demonstrations, and create iconic scenarios and services. How to explore new scenarios for the application of humanoid robots through policy support? The Implementation Plan proposes that "through cooperation and innovation, first purchase and ordering and other customization modes, we can provide customized products and services to meet the specific needs of users, and enjoy the 'Internet plus' government procurement policy." Zheng Jie said that humanoid robots represent the highest level of electromechanical integration, automation and intelligence, and they have the highest integration and technical challenges in the field of intelligent robots.
