Reporters learned from the Beijing Stock Exchange on September 5 that since the launch of treasury bond issuance business in September 2022, the Beijing Stock Exchange has cumulatively issued 7.67 trillion yuan of treasury bond by the end of August this year, including 255 billion yuan of super long term special treasury bond, invested in key areas and strategic directions supported by the state. In addition, the Beijing Stock Exchange has issued 640.607 billion yuan of local government bonds to support regional economic development. In terms of credit bonds, the Beijing Stock Exchange has formed a basic bond product system that includes 10 special varieties such as corporate bonds, corporate bonds, science and technology innovation bonds, and green bonds. A total of 8 credit bonds have been issued, with a total scale of 9 billion yuan, to support the development of industries such as rail transit, green buildings, and smart agriculture that are in line with national strategic directions, and to promote the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. The Beijing Stock Exchange stated that the next step will be to accelerate the development of a multi-level bond market. Steadily promote the implementation of government bond trading functions, enrich bond trading methods, encourage enterprises to issue public bonds on the Beijing Stock Exchange, and conduct research on public REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) products.
