Recently, a team led by Associate Researcher Kong Zhiqiang and Professor Zhang Zhao from the School of Information and Electrical Engineering at China Agricultural University conducted research and guidance on the quality and comprehensive evaluation of the national traditional Chinese medicine industry technology system in Min County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province. The expert group first visited Shunxinghe Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. in Min County, which is a private enterprise specializing in the cultivation, procurement, processing, and sales of medicinal materials. The expert group provided guidance on the GAP cultivation, origin processing, and quality control of Chinese medicinal herbs such as Astragalus membranaceus, Angelica sinensis, and Codonopsis pilosula. They conducted on-site inspections on the cleaning, moistening, cutting, drying, sorting, packaging, color selection, and storage of Chinese medicinal herbs, providing guidance for the expansion and strengthening of the enterprise. They also reached a cooperation intention with the enterprise on solving the problems of large subjective errors, low sorting accuracy, and high labor costs in the sorting process of Chinese medicinal herbs such as Astragalus membranaceus and Angelica sinensis in the next step. Subsequently, led by Liu Pengwei, a member of the Party Group of the Danggui Research Institute in Min County, the expert group went to Zhongzhai Village in Min County to investigate the Huangqi planting base. They provided guidance on disease and pest control, planting techniques, and other aspects of Huangqi planting. Min County is known as the "Thousand Year Medicinal Town" and the "Hometown of Chinese Angelica sinensis". Its unique high-altitude and humid ecological environment provides unique conditions for the growth of more than 300 high-quality Chinese medicinal materials such as Angelica sinensis, Astragalus membranaceus, and Codonopsis pilosula. In recent years, Minxian County has seized the major opportunity of building a national comprehensive experimental zone for traditional Chinese medicine industry in Gansu Province, adhering to the core of "authentic, green, and ecological", taking the development of the entire industry chain as the mainline, and vigorously grasping the three key links of standardized planting, refined and deepened processing, and branded sales, steadily promoting the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. This survey not only gained a deep understanding of the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Min County, but also played a positive role in strengthening the management of traditional Chinese medicine production and the quality management of fresh processing in the production areas of traditional Chinese medicine, promoting the GAP planting of authentic medicinal materials, and promoting the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in Min County.
