The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Administration of Sport of China recently issued a notice to organize the collection of typical cases of intelligent sports in 2024, aiming to fully leverage the empowering and driving role of information technologies such as intelligent hardware, artificial intelligence big models, virtual reality (VR), brain computer interfaces, 5G communication, etc. Around key areas such as national fitness, competitive sports, and sports facilities, a batch of technologically advanced, effective, and promotable intelligent sports typical products and facilities and equipment will be collected and selected. The declared project should serve the needs of national health and competitive sports, have a high level of technology and intelligent solution capabilities, and be able to leverage the support and driving role of the new generation of information technology, reflecting strong representativeness, demonstration, innovation, and promotability. The collection of typical cases of intelligent sports in 2024 mainly focuses on four directions. One is the field of national fitness, including smart sports wearable devices, smart fitness equipment, virtual reality sports equipment, as well as sports and fitness apps and platforms. The second is the field of competitive sports, including intelligent sports competition equipment, intelligent sports training equipment, and intelligent sports rehabilitation equipment. The third is the field of sports facilities, including intelligent sports venue facilities, intelligent outdoor sports facilities, and intelligent ice and snow sports facilities. The fourth is other fields, including intelligent youth sports products, intelligent elderly sports and health products, intelligent integration of physical and medical products, and intelligent sports products and facilities that integrate new generation information technology. Encourage various regions to provide support to the selected units of typical cases in terms of relevant supporting funds, projects, investment and financing, based on local conditions, in order to create favorable development conditions for the selected units. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Administration of Sport of China will continue to track and cultivate the selected units of typical cases, provide support in various ways, strengthen the integration of industry and finance, and transform achievements, enhance publicity and promotion, and create favorable conditions for the development of intelligent sports industry.
