Ten yuan bottled wine transformed into "special supply wine" for sale in Weifang, Shandong. Public security cracked a case of selling counterfeit registered trademark goods
2024-08-29
Recently, the Hanting Branch of Weifang Public Security Bureau in Shandong Province, according to the clues of the masses, investigated a case of selling counterfeit registered trademarks, arrested 20 suspect, and seized more than 300 cases of "special liquor" on the spot, involving more than 12 million yuan. At the beginning of this year, Mr. Zhang, a resident of Weifang City, purchased a bottle of "special liquor" highly recommended by the host in the online liquor live broadcast room. The anchor claimed that "special liquor" cannot be bought in the market at all, and can only be obtained through "special channels" of "insiders". After tasting the goods, Mr. Zhang clearly felt something was wrong and suspected that he had bought fake alcohol. He then reported it to the Hanting Branch of Weifang Public Security Bureau. After receiving the alarm, the Hanting Public Security Bureau immediately launched an investigation into the live broadcast room and found that the anchor was also selling alcohol in another live broadcast room. The live broadcast room broadcasts twice a day in the morning and evening, each lasting about 1 to 2 hours, with an average of over a thousand viewers per broadcast. The police handling the case found that the signs of the two live broadcast rooms were very similar to the signs of a famous Baijiu brand, and almost all the bottles of a famous Baijiu were placed on the shelves behind the salesperson. According to the requirements of the live streaming platform, if you want to sell products of a certain brand, you must provide relevant business qualifications. The police immediately contacted the company, which claimed that they had never authorized these two live streaming rooms to sell alcohol. After identification, the "special liquor" sold by the two live broadcast booths under the banner of famous Baijiu was not produced by the distillery at all. After investigating the sales of goods in the online live streaming rooms involved in the case, the investigating police found that the sales records in these two online live streaming rooms were all for niche brand drinks they represented, and did not show the sales of "special supply drinks" or "exclusive supply drinks". Although these anchors sell various so-called "special drinks" in the live broadcast room, when consumers click on the purchase link provided by the live broadcast room, the associated products are drinks produced by other brands represented by the live broadcast room. These live streaming rooms selling "special liquor" are precisely using this method of transplanting flowers and trees to evade the supervision of live streaming platforms. After mastering the relevant information, the police in charge of the case soon captured the main suspect, such as Wang and Li. The live broadcast room selling fake wine was also closed by the platform, and the relevant accounts were banned. According to Wang's account, the live streaming room he operated previously sold legitimate alcoholic beverages authorized by small brands, but the sales performance was average. After a live broadcast, a man named Chen took the initiative to contact him. Chen claimed to have his own distillery in another province, which can provide so-called "special liquor" for Wang's live broadcast room for sale. The two of them hit it off immediately. Through investigation, the police have confirmed Chen's true identity. In order to investigate the criminal hideout where Chen made "special supply liquor", the investigating police immediately went to another province to conduct further investigation. Through analysis, the police found that Chen drives a car out every noon and appears at a local logistics hub around 3 or 4 pm. But the distance between his home and the logistics hub is no more than an hour by car, and the police speculate that the two or three hours that disappeared in between should be the time Chen used to fill and pack the "special supply wine". Through meticulous investigation, the police found the hideout producing these so-called "special supply wines" and arrested Chen and others on the spot. According to Chen's account, the so-called "special supply wine" he provided to Wang and others were all low-grade base wines purchased from local distilleries, and the bottles, boxes, and bags used to package these "special supply wines" were specially customized high imitation packaging by Chen. Chen and his accomplices fill and package low-grade base liquor at filling stations, and then send it to buyers across the country through express logistics. The police investigation found that the base liquor involved in the case was distilled from residual distiller's grains after brewing, and the quality cannot be guaranteed at all. The base liquor purchased by suspect Chen is about 10 yuan per kilogram, and he sells it to suspect Wang at prices ranging from 20 yuan to 30 yuan. The anchors in Wang's live broadcast room packaged these wines using "professional" language and sold them as "special supply wines" at prices ranging from 30 yuan to 180 yuan per bottle.
