Combined with statistics from the International Commodity Code Organization (GS1), the total number of consumer goods registered in China ranks first in the world. According to statistics, in the first half of the year, there were 9.664 million new consumer goods registered using product barcodes, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, and the total number of consumer goods varieties reached 2008.47 million. The relevant person in charge of the China Commodity Code Center analyzed that "the growth rate of new consumer goods will turn negative to positive in 2023, and will continue to maintain rapid growth on the basis of the previous year in 2024, reflecting the strong vitality of the operating entities in China's consumer market under a series of policies to promote consumption, and the good momentum of social and economic recovery and development."
