In response, the traffic management department quickly formulated a work plan and organized the rectification of non motorized vehicle traffic violations throughout the city. In response to the illegal characteristics of non motorized vehicles in different regions, a one place one plan model will be adopted, with positions set up at irregular times and locations. The focus will be on carrying out centralized rectification of illegal activities such as non motorized vehicles running through lights, reversing, occupying motor vehicle lanes, chasing and competing, and cycling with people. To ensure the safety of cyclists, during the law enforcement process, police officers adopt a method of first slowing down, then intercepting, first discovering, and then punishing. If one is found, it will be corrected and punished. At the same time as carrying out law enforcement, warning education should be carried out to inform the parties of the dangers of illegal cycling and remind them to ensure safety. When enforcing non motorized vehicle traffic violations against personnel in the instant delivery industry, special markings should be made, and the situation of traffic violations and accidents should be regularly reported to departments such as commerce and postal services to assist the regulatory authorities in exerting their supervisory effectiveness and jointly supervise platform enterprises to implement their main management responsibilities. At the same time, actively strive for the support of the government and social units to promote social governance, mobilize relevant enterprises, civilized traffic volunteers, and the general public to participate in intersection management, and carry out law-abiding propaganda and guidance for cyclists. According to statistics from the traffic management department, since August 1st, police officers have punished more than 317000 non motorized vehicles for illegal activities such as running lights and driving in the wrong direction, including 1816 illegal acts of chasing and racing.
