On August 24th, the 4th "Hehe" Symposium and the Symposium on Systematically Promoting Chinese Religious Chemistry in China were held in Haidian District, Beijing. The seminar revolves around the theme of "Systematically Promoting the Sinicization of Religion in China", focusing on theoretical research, interpretation, and practical exploration of the Sinicization of Religion. It exchanges and explores new measures, experiences, and paths, providing theoretical guidance and experiential inspiration for promoting high-quality development of religious work in Beijing in the new era. This seminar is jointly organized by the Beijing Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission and the Institute of World Religions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is hosted by the Beijing Religious Culture Research Association and the United Front Work Department of the Haidian District Committee, and co organized by the five major religious groups in Beijing and the Beijing Research Center for Strengthening the Awareness of the Chinese National Community. Yang Jinbai, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Committee, attended the seminar and pointed out at the opening ceremony that we need to enhance our political stance, deeply understand the significance of adhering to the direction of sinicization of religion in China, deeply grasp its rich connotations and original contributions, and achieve the integration of learning, thinking, application, knowledge, belief, and practice. We need to strengthen overall planning and coordination, further enhance top-level design, improve the governance pattern of religious affairs under the leadership of the Party committee, government management, social coordination, and religious self-discipline, and widely gather a strong force to promote the sinicization of religion in China. We need to organize the "Hehe" seminar, gather outstanding talents from the religious community, universities, research institutions, and other fields, strengthen the transformation of research results, explore new paths for the practice of sinicization of religion, promote the continuous deepening of the "Hehe" brand, and create a Beijing religious sinicization research brand that can stand firm, be heard out, and pushed forward. At the seminar, a total of 15 experts, scholars, and religious representatives from universities and research institutions such as Peking University, Central University for Nationalities, and the Institute of World Religions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences shared research results, presented vivid cases, and explored implementation paths. They discussed and exchanged ideas and keynote speeches on classic works interpreting the sinicization of religion, religious architecture showcasing the sinicization of religion, historical figures narrating the sinicization of religion, promoting the sinicization of religion with the infiltration of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and building a community with a shared future for mankind with the spirit of "harmony", contributing wisdom and strength to the systematic promotion of the sinicization of religion in China. The seminar also held a simultaneous exhibition of calligraphy and painting works, as well as Chinese style images of religious architecture, titled 'The Beauty of Harmony and the Way of Coexistence - Beijing Religious Culture and Art Exhibition'. Zhang Jiaming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and other leaders attended the meeting. Leaders from the 11th and 12th bureaus of the Central United Front Work Department, the General Office of the Ethnic Affairs Commission of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, as well as relevant departments in urban areas, some provinces and cities' united front religious work departments, experts and scholars from universities and research institutions, religious figures, and relevant personnel from various fields, totaling more than 360 people attended the meeting.
