The International Academic Conference on the Third Anniversary of the Implementation of the International Chinese Language Education Chinese Proficiency Level Standards (hereinafter referred to as the "Level Standards") was recently held at Yonsei University in South Korea. Nearly 400 international experts and scholars in the field of Chinese education attended the conference, sharing and exchanging experiences in international Chinese education around the theme of "deepening the construction of the standard system and opening up new prospects for international Chinese education and HSK exams". At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by Zhong Yinghua, President of the World Chinese Language Teaching Association, Jin Zhenwu, Chairman of the Korean Chinese Education Research Association and Chinese Dean of the Rainbow Confucius Institute, Yin Dongxie, President of Yonsei University in South Korea, and Ai Hongge, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea. Jin Zhenwu expressed his hope to further promote the stable formation of a new situation in the development of international Chinese education with the goal of "planning from a high starting point, exploring new paths; organizing at a high level, pursuing new heights, high-quality development, and creating new patterns". Seven experts from different countries in Eurasia gave keynote speeches, discussing topics such as the construction of the "Level Standards" system, diversity of educational standards, localization of international Chinese education, integration of international Chinese standards with European language standards, Chinese characteristics and teaching testing. Under the guidance of the Sino Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education, this conference is jointly organized by the World Chinese Language Teaching Association, the Korean Chinese Education Research Association, Yonsei University, the Joint Conference of Confucius Institutes in Korea, and the Chinese Professors Association in Korea.
