The fourth national tour of the large-scale realistic play "The World" will be performed in Beijing, and the 93rd and 94th performances will be held at the Beijing Century Theater on August 30th and 31st. The play is adapted from the works of the famous writer Liang Xiaosheng at the 10th Mao Dun Literature Award, directed by director Yang Jiayin, and performed by professional drama actors such as Anan and Li Xiaomeng from the Beijing People's Art Theatre. Since its debut, the play "In the World" has vividly portrayed the warmth and fireworks of ordinary characters in that era through the unique charm of stage art, its grand historical background, delicate character portrayal, and profound emotional depiction. The story revolves around the life of an ordinary worker family in a northern city, and revolves around the life trajectories of the three siblings of the Zhou family. It showcases the tremendous changes in Chinese society over the past 50 years, including the rural migration movement, reform and opening up, and the resumption of the college entrance examination. The reason why "The Human World" can resonate widely is not only because of its down-to-earth nature, but also because in the hardships and beauty of life, the various emotions towards family, loved ones, and friends touch the softest part of the human heart. In terms of stage art and props, the play "In the Human World" is meticulously detailed, bringing elements full of smoke and fire from the original work to the stage, such as Zhou's father sitting on a heated kang reading newspapers, Bing Kun riding a donkey upside down with Zheng Juan, Cai Xiaoguang riding a 28 bar to deliver meat to Bing Kun, etc. These "symbols" with the characteristics of the times carry the bitterness, sweetness, and sourness of life, and take the audience back to the days of the past. After watching it, an audience member said, "The life of the three siblings of the Zhou family over the past 50 years has been full of ups and downs, and it is so magnificent in the context of the big times. Zhou Bingkun's life was indeed difficult, but he had a clear conscience in love, family, and friendship. Being able to reminisce about the past with his lover in his twilight years is also a kind of happiness. After watching it, I want to live well in this city and am curious about what I will experience in the future
