Guangxi launches a new green power "highway" to assist in the efficient utilization of new energy

2024-08-26

At 5:45 am on the 25th, the 220 kV Suicha Line of Guangxi Power Grid completed a 24-hour trial operation and was officially put into operation. This green power "artery" is located in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi, providing a "highway" for the transmission of green power such as the 300 MW agricultural photovoltaic energy storage integration project in Shangsi County, and helping to promote the rapid development and efficient utilization of new energy in Guangxi. The Suicha Line is the first 220 kV green power 'highway' in Shangsi County Hu Xiangyuan, Deputy Manager of the Construction Management Department (Project Management Center) of Guangxi Fangchenggang Power Supply Bureau of Southern Power Grid, introduced that the total length of the line is about 39 kilometers, with a total of 103 iron towers. About 96 construction personnel are deployed daily to carry out project breakthroughs, and the entire line was completed in July this year, which is 4 months ahead of the guidance period of Southern Power Grid. This line provides strong energy channel support for the smooth operation of the 300 MW agricultural photovoltaic energy storage integration project in Shangsi County. It is reported that after the full completion and operation of the 300 MW agricultural photovoltaic energy storage integration project in Shangsi County, about 310 million kilowatt hours of clean energy can be transmitted annually through the 220 kV Suicha line, helping to save energy and reduce emissions. The local power supply department has included the project in the list of "Chief Customer Manager" responsibility system projects, and the customer manager has intervened in advance to coordinate and solve more than 20 electricity problems. Hu Junpeng, the person in charge of the Guangzhou Development Shangsi 300 MW Agricultural Photovoltaic Energy Storage Integration Project, said, "The 'one-stop' service provided by the power supply bureau allows us to truly feel the efficient operation and high-quality service of Fangchenggang." Under the guidance of the "dual carbon" goal, new energy such as wind power, photovoltaics, and biomass power generation have developed rapidly in Guangxi. Guangxi is vigorously building a diversified energy and power supply system, including onshore and offshore wind power, nuclear power, photovoltaics, biomass, and clean coal power. As of the end of July 2024, the installed capacity of new energy in Guangxi has exceeded 32.69 million kilowatts, accounting for 38%, and the proportion of non fossil energy generation has reached 58.4%. Zhang Ning, General Manager of the Infrastructure Department of Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company, introduced that in combination with the layout of energy projects in Guangxi, Southern Power Grid is fully committed to building green power transmission lines in accordance with the requirements of agile construction work. This year, it has completed and put into operation several green power transmission "arteries", including the 220 kV transmission line project at Site A of the 700 MW offshore wind power demonstration project in Fangchenggang City, the 110 kV Chunxiachi line of the Namo wind farm in Hengzhou City, Nanning, and the 110 kV Wutao line of the Chongzuo Daxinlongmen wind farm. More than 130 kilometers of new energy transmission lines have been added and put into operation. We will dynamically follow up on the development needs of energy projects, build supporting transmission lines, and ensure the safe and reliable transmission of power sources such as wind, solar, fire, nuclear, and water through the 'big channel' of the power grid, ensuring that new energy can be connected, delivered, and used stably, serving the construction of Guangxi's new power system and new energy system, and helping to achieve the 'dual carbon' goal Zhang Ning stated.
