On August 14-15, the Jilin Taoist Association held a training course on adhering to the direction of sinicization of Taoism and the 12th Xuanmen Lecture in Changchun City. Gao Huibin, Deputy Director of the Religious Affairs Bureau of Jilin Province, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Comrades from the Religious Department of the Provincial Religious Bureau attended the event. Personnel at or above the level of Deputy Secretary General of the Jilin Taoist Association, responsible persons of Taoist activity venues throughout the province, and lecturers participated in the event. Gao Huibin emphasized that conducting Xuanmen lectures is an important lever for promoting the construction of Taoist ideology, an important way to advocate a good teaching style, an important platform for cultivating Taoist talents, and an important measure to adhere to the direction of sinicization of religion in China and promote the healthy inheritance of Taoism. He hopes that the Provincial Taoist Association will conscientiously summarize its experience, effectively improve its level of preaching, innovate its forms of activities, and continuously deepen its preaching activities. Taking the opportunity of carrying out the lecture activities, we will promote the construction of Taoist ideology, teaching style and talent team, closely unite the masses of believers around the Party and the government, and contribute to the strength of the Taoist community to further comprehensively deepen reform, promote the construction of Chinese path to modernization, and promote the comprehensive revitalization of Jilin. The theme of this year's Xuanmen Lecture is "Moral Education, Benevolence, Goodness, and Beneficial Life", and the main lecture is on the classic "Tao Te Ching". 18 Taoist leaders recommended by Taoist associations and temples in various cities (prefectures), combined with their own experiences, preached around the direction of adhering to the Sinicization of Taoism. In the end, one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and twelve excellent prizes were selected. During the event, Gao Huibin gave a special lecture on "Adhering to the Direction of Sinicization of Taoism", and the attendees also studied the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
