Overall, multiple pilot regions have released "Implementation Plans for Digital RMB Pilot Work" this year, clarifying the goals and implementation plans for digital RMB pilot work. At the same time, it was also mentioned in the second half of 2024 work conference held by the People's Bank of China that "we should steadily promote the R&D and application of digital RMB". The Plan proposes to strive for a digital RMB transaction amount of 330 billion yuan in Fuzhou by the end of 2024, and to achieve full coverage of digital RMB application scenarios in areas such as supply and marketing cooperative outlets, major gas stations, water fee payments, provident fund deposits and withdrawals, and exam registration; By the end of 2025, the transaction amount of digital RMB in Fuzhou will reach 430 billion yuan, and digital RMB payment scenarios will be fully covered in cultural and tourism attractions, electricity bills, cable TV bills, industrial enterprise gas bills, and other fields; By the end of 2026, the transaction amount of digital RMB in Fuzhou will reach 530 billion yuan, with over 100 million transactions and an average of over 100000 monthly active users. To achieve the above goals, Fuzhou has formulated thirteen key tasks. The "Several Measures for High Quality Construction of Digital RMB Application Ecological Demonstration Zone in Luohu District, Shenzhen" released in July proposed to encourage the development of the digital RMB industry ecology and improve the environment for digital RMB payment acceptance.
