A large bridge upstream of Liugu River was washed away by floods, trapping more than 30 vehicles and 80 people on the bridge. The officers and soldiers of the detachment provided scientific rescue and successfully evacuated all trapped vehicles and civilians safely. The People's Armed Forces Department of Suizhong County and Jianchang County dispatched 110 and 100 people respectively, carrying rescue equipment such as assault boats, to carry out rescue operations in severely affected areas and assist the local government in transferring more than 300 people.
