Recently, a new generation of self elevating offshore wind power installation vessel built by Qidong COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering was completed at the Yangtze River Terminal in Qidong, Jiangsu. This offshore equipment with four "long legs" is the first NG20000 wind power installation ship customized by Qidong Zhongyuan Shipping Marine Engineering for the shipowner. This ship is not only tall and has long legs, but also has infinite strength. It has a deck area of 5600 square meters, a payload of over 17600 tons, and a main lifting capacity of over 2500 tons. It is capable of installing various mainstream wind turbines and is currently the new generation of self elevating offshore wind power installation ships with high technical specifications. Qian Wei, Project Manager of Qidong Zhongyuan Shipping Offshore Wind Power Installation Ship: The pile leg height of our project is 120 meters, which can operate in a 70 meter water area and transport and install 7 15MW wind turbines simultaneously. Another special feature is the high degree of automation, with 10431 signal acquisition points, which is 4000 points more than similar projects. In addition to its high level of intelligence, green environmental protection is also a major feature of the ship. This wind power installation ship has introduced a methanol dual fuel system and added a battery energy storage system to achieve maximum "energy conservation and emission reduction". Qian Wei, project manager of Qidong Zhongyuan Shipping Offshore Wind Power Installation Ship: There are a total of 820 batteries equipped, with a total capacity of 5000 kilowatts, which is equivalent to the capacity of a medium to large diesel engine, greatly reducing the fuel consumption of the ship.
