The 2024 World Youth Development Forum with the theme of "Youth Building a Better Future Together" opened in Beijing on the 12th. More than 2000 young representatives from over 130 countries and more than 20 international organizations participated both online and offline. This forum is jointly organized by the All China Youth Federation, the United Nations system in China, and the World Youth Development Forum Organizing Committee. Since its establishment in 2022, this forum aims to call on the world's youth to contribute to global development, advocate for global cooperation in promoting youth development, and gather the widest possible force to implement the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. At the opening ceremony, guests such as Zhong Nanshan, academician of the CAE Member, and Adiola Pashlari, Secretary General of the World Youth Congress, talked about youth stories and envisioned a bright future. At the plenary session, more than 10 youth ministers from various countries shared their views and experiences on promoting global development and empowering youth development. In the youth speaking session, 9 typical project leaders of the Global Youth Development Action Plan shared their practical achievements and future plans to promote youth development and global development. Youth representatives from 8 countries have issued the "International Youth Initiative on the Future Summit", proposing youth suggestions to the upcoming United Nations Future Summit and voicing the voice of young people to jointly address global challenges and build a better future. The forum launched the recruitment of the second batch of typical projects and special funds for the Global Youth Development Action Plan, and released the "Youth Green Skills and Entrepreneurship Training and Exchange Program". It is reported that Chinese and foreign youth representatives will participate in activities such as the "Future Summit" Youth Roundtable, Olympic Youth Gathering, and Global Civilization Initiative International Youth Lecture Hall during their stay in Beijing. Youth representatives from various countries will also travel in groups to cities such as Nanning, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Changsha to participate in theme forums, special inspections, cultural experiences, and other activities.
