This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has decided to launch a centralized selection and awarding of national medals and honorary titles, and solemnly commend a group of outstanding model figures who have made outstanding contributions to the construction and development of the People's Republic of China. According to the deployment of the selection and awarding work, based on repeated comparisons and collective research in various regions and departments, after organizational investigation and overall consideration, 4 recommended candidates for the "Republic Medal" and 10 recommended candidates for national honorary titles have been selected. In order to fully promote democracy, widely solicit opinions, and accept social supervision, the relevant candidate information is now publicly announced from August 12, 2024 to August 16, 2024. Li Zhensheng

  He is the founder of wheat distant hybridization breeding and an expert in agricultural development strategy in China. He systematically studied the distant hybridization of wheat and wheatgrass and developed the "Xiaoyan" series of varieties, setting a precedent for the large-scale promotion of wheat distant hybridization varieties in production. We have created a new breeding system for blue-green wheat and chromosome engineering, opening up a new direction for efficient utilization of phosphorus and nitrogen nutrition in wheat breeding. He organized and implemented the "Huang Huai Hai Campaign" for agricultural science and technology, proposed and promoted the construction of the "Bohai Granary" project, and played an important role in promoting increased grain production and ensuring national food security in China. Huang Zongde

Huang Zongde, male, Han nationality, a member of the Communist Party of China, was born in August 1931 in Rongcheng, Shandong Province, and was a deputy division adviser of the former 52824 unit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. At the age of 17, he joined the army and devoted himself to the revolution. He participated in the Crossing of the Yangtze River Campaign, the Jiangxi Anti Banditry Campaign, and the Korean War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. He was at the forefront of many battles and made numerous military achievements, fighting bravely and fearlessly to defend his country. He was a brave and tenacious hero who was not afraid of sacrifice. Bayka Kalidi Buick
