On the evening of August 7th local time, Serbian President Vu č i ć inspected the construction site of the new Vrbas station on the Nuosu section of the Hungary Serbia railway (Novi Sad to Subotica border section). He expressed that the Hungarian Serbian railway connects the entire province of Vojvodina with modern high-speed railways, which is of great significance to the Serbian people, and he is deeply proud of it. Accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming and Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Vesic, Wu Qiqi watched the rail welding operation on site and talked with railway builders from China and Serbia. He said: "Serbia has created a history in promoting the construction of transportation infrastructure, and we cannot do it without Chinese friends." The Hungary Serbia Railway is a landmark project of the "the Belt and Road" jointly built by China and Central and Eastern European countries. The Nuosu section of the Hungary Serbia Railway is 108.1 kilometers long, with a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. At present, the civil engineering and main track construction of the Nuosu section of the Hungary Serbia Railway have been basically completed. After connecting with the already open Beino section (Belgrade Novi Sad section) by the end of the year, the travel time between the Serbian capital Belgrade and the border city of Subotica will be compressed to about 80 minutes, greatly facilitating the travel of people along the line.
