Standard guidance is an important symbol for a country to enter high-quality development and participate in high-quality competition. In recent years, China has continuously improved mandatory product energy efficiency standards and safety standards, accelerated the formulation and revision of standards in fields such as digitalization, intelligence, greening, and low-carbon, and promoted the continuous upgrading of industrial and consumer product technologies.
The production of air conditioning products in China accounts for over 80% of the global production. Behind the leading product quality, we should see that China's mandatory energy efficiency standards for room air conditioning have undergone four upgrades, surpassing energy efficiency standards such as those of the European Union and Japan, and achieving international "leading" standards.
The mandatory energy consumption quota standard is forcing traditional industries to transform and upgrade. The standard of "Energy Consumption Limits for Unit Products in the Refining and Chemical Industry" released in April this year significantly increased the energy consumption limit indicators, promoting refining and chemical enterprises to accelerate the update of outdated general equipment such as boilers and motors.
To lead the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries through the improvement of national standards, we must maximize the effectiveness of standard inversion and guidance, "said Li Aixian, Vice President of the China National Institute of Standardization. The next step is to focus on key empowerment areas such as Beidou, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and industrial robots, and jointly promote the revision of standards for emerging technologies and traditional industries, continuously improving the level of openness and integration of the standard system. At the same time, we will accelerate the formulation and revision of key standards for energy and resource consumption, pollutant emissions, carbon footprint, and recycling, and make great efforts to connect the quality foundation chain that supports the optimization and upgrading of traditional industries.
Currently, emerging technology standards have achieved fruitful results in leading the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. As of now, China has issued a total of 408 national standards for intelligent manufacturing and led the development of 48 international standards, supporting the scale of China's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry to exceed 3.2 trillion yuan, cultivating 421 national demonstration factories, and more than 10000 provincial-level digital workshops and intelligent factories.
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and other departments have issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Trade in through Standard Upgrading", which comprehensively lists nearly 300 standard lists, consolidating the technical foundation for implementing equipment renewal and consumer goods trade in, and enabling standards to play a role in promoting renewal, expanding consumption, and promoting circulation.
Xiao Chengxiang, President of the Standardization Research Institute of China National Machinery Industry Corporation, said that there are about 8000 national standards in the field of equipment manufacturing, which play a fundamental and leading role in regulating the high-quality development of the equipment manufacturing industry. To give full play to the supporting and leading role of national standards, it is not only necessary to hold the bottom line, but also to scientifically and reasonably raise the high line, and enhance the overall quality and upgrading of the traction equipment manufacturing industry.
