The reporter recently learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that the China Enterprise Credit Index for 2023 is 149.71 points, the second highest level in nearly 10 years. The credit index of Chinese enterprises from January to June 2024 was 159.23, 158.75, 159.01, 158.70, 159.13, and 158.85, respectively. The overall index was higher than the level of 2023, fluctuating around 159 points and within a reasonable range. The index for the first quarter of 2024 was 159.00, the index for the second quarter was 158.90, and the index for the first half of 2024 was 158.95, indicating that the overall credit level of Chinese enterprises is stable and fluctuating. According to the analysis of the relevant person in charge of the State Administration for Market Regulation, overall, the credit level of Chinese enterprises will remain stable from 2023 to the first half of 2024, and the transformation and upgrading will steadily advance. In the first half of this year, the overall improvement of China's corporate credit index compared to last year reflects the continuous optimization of China's corporate credit situation, reflecting the resilience and potential of the Chinese economy in global economic fluctuations, and the economic operation is showing a positive trend. Specifically, the enterprise credit index exhibits the following characteristics: overall stable business operation status and visible effectiveness of macro policies. From January to June 2024, the sub indicators of reliability, operational performance, financial performance, compliance, correlation, and regulatory performance remained stable with slight fluctuations, maintaining a relatively high level. The overall business situation of the enterprise met expectations. The quality of enterprise development continues to improve, and transformation and upgrading are steadily advancing. At a critical stage of complex and severe international environment and domestic economic adjustment and transformation, important factors related to enterprise transformation and upgrading, such as registered capital payment, tax payment, intellectual property rights, and certification matters, have rebounded and improved. Enterprise operations have further improved in quality and efficiency, demonstrating a trend of high-quality development. The credit risk of enterprises has been reduced, and the awareness of trustworthiness has been continuously enhanced. Since 2024, the decline in compliance sub indicators has narrowed, while regulatory sub indicators have shown positive changes. The number of enterprises removed from the list of abnormal business operations has increased, and the proportion of low credit risk enterprises in the country has steadily increased.
