On July 31st, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced to the society that 19 new professions, including cloud network intelligent operation and maintenance personnel, generative artificial intelligence system application personnel, user growth operation personnel, and 28 new job types, including live streaming recruitment personnel, have been included in the national occupational classification ceremony. New professions continue to emerge, reflecting new changes and trends in economic and social development, meeting the new needs of production and life, and providing workers with more employment options. More than half of the 19 new professions released this time are closely related to new quality productivity. For example, "digital" and "intelligent" professions that closely follow the cutting-edge technology: generative artificial intelligence system application staff, intelligent connected vehicle tester, intelligent manufacturing system operation and maintenance staff, industrial Internet operation and maintenance staff, etc; The new positions nurtured by the digital economy include internet anchors, user growth operators, and more. Green is a major "label" for new professions. There are already 134 green occupations marked in the National Occupational Classification Dictionary, accounting for 8% of the total number of occupations. Many of the new professions included in this batch are due to the new needs of economic transformation and green and low-carbon development, such as hydrogen based direct reduction ironworkers derived from traditional industries, energy storage power station operation and maintenance managers, and power quality managers that meet the development of emerging industries. The emergence of new professions witnesses the new vitality of social development. New professions such as cultural and creative product planning and operation specialists, oral hygiene technicians, skiing and rescue personnel, as well as new occupations such as life service experience workers, elderly bath assistants, and leisure camping site butlers, all reflect the diversification and new changes in people's living needs. What kind of profession can be "included" in a new profession? Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Vocational Capacity Building Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, introduced: "The new occupations we recognize are not newly emerged or newly created, but refer to occupations that are not included in the National Occupational Classification Dictionary but already have a certain scale of employees and have relatively independent and mature professional and skill requirements." According to the introduction, whether a new occupation can be included in the Dictionary requires relevant institutions and units to apply for suggestions, and then undergo layers of screening. After expert review and argumentation, written solicitation of opinions from relevant departments of the central and state organs, and public solicitation of opinions, the sociality, technicality, stability, and other aspects of this occupation are evaluated. Since the launch of the new profession recruitment work in 2018, the number of new professions declared by various parties has been increasing year by year. The 2022 National Occupational Classification Dictionary has included 168 new occupations. In October 2023, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security publicly solicited a new batch of new professions from the society, and received more than 430 proposals. The release of a new profession is just the beginning of career development.
