The Chinese Consulate General in Aktobe, Kazakhstan held an opening ceremony on the 30th. The Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Zhang Xiao, and the Kazakh Governor of Aktobe, Shaharov, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Consulate General. In his speech, Zhang Xiao stated that the opening of the Chinese Consulate General in Aktobe is a vivid reflection of the strengthening of traditional friendship and deepening mutual understanding between China and Kazakhstan, as well as a concrete manifestation of deepening the construction of a community with a shared future for both countries. I believe that the Consulate General will inject new impetus into the economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two countries by strengthening regional ties. Shaharov stated in his speech that Kazakhstan will actively provide support and assistance for the work of the Consulate General, and looks forward to further promoting exchanges in various fields between Kazakhstan and China after the opening of the Consulate General. About 200 people, including government officials, friendly individuals from all walks of life, and representatives from local Chinese funded institutions, attended the opening ceremony. The Chinese Consulate General in Aktobe is the second consulate general established by China in Kazakhstan, following the Consulate General in Almaty. Its jurisdiction covers Aktobe Oblast, Atyrau Oblast, Kyzylorda Oblast, Mangistau Oblast, and West Kazakhstan Oblast. (New Society)
