The National Conference on Veterans' Work was held in Beijing on the 29th.  
In the new era and new journey, retired soldiers need to have new responsibilities and achievements in their work.   It is hoped that the majority of ex servicemen will always maintain their revolutionary qualities, strengthen their faith, make patriotic contributions, and work hard to make new and greater contributions to the great cause of comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese path to modernization.
The conference commended 397 national model retired soldiers, 100 national model units for retired soldier work, and 80 model individuals.
Central Military Commission member Miao Hua attended the meeting.
