The overall number of registered low altitude economy related enterprises in China is showing an increasing trend. According to data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, about 608000 new unmanned aerial vehicles were registered in the first half of this year, an increase of 48% compared to the end of last year; Drones have flown a total of 9.816 million hours, an increase of 134000 hours compared to the same period last year. Guangdong, Zhejiang and other provinces have taken the lead in carrying out the construction of low altitude economic demonstration zones, forming distinctive low altitude economic development models through policy guidance, infrastructure construction, enterprise cultivation and industrial planning. To safeguard the development of low altitude economy, China has successively introduced multiple policies to encourage the development of low altitude economy. The low altitude economy has shown great development potential in various fields such as logistics, emergency rescue, medical care, agriculture, and inspection. However, it is still in its infancy and there are still problems such as incomplete top-level design, weak industrial foundation, and immature market. In this regard, comprehensive measures should be taken from the three levels of policy, technology, and industry to promote its high-quality development. Optimize the policy environment and provide solid legal protection. The government should clarify the strategic positioning of the low altitude economy, establish a scientific, systematic, and forward-looking policy and regulatory system, incorporate it into the national development plan, formulate medium - and long-term development goals and roadmaps, and provide clear direction guidance for industrial development. At the same time, improving the legal and regulatory system is key. We should accelerate the revision and improvement of laws and regulations related to low altitude flight, drone applications, airspace management, etc., clarify the boundaries of rights and responsibilities, regulate market order, establish a flexible and efficient airspace management development mechanism with more complete laws and regulations, reasonably divide and dynamically manage low altitude airspace, improve the efficiency of airspace resource utilization, enhance airspace standardization and safety.
