Lingnan monks represented by Deqing, Hanshi, Chengjiu, Daocong, Jinshi, Jinwu, Dashan, etc., gathered remnants and monks with different foundations in calligraphy, forming a group of monks and calligraphers with diverse personalities and a common color of "mountain forest style", which greatly inspired the Guangdong calligraphy world. The exhibition provided by Guangdong Provincial Museum is divided into three units: "Chan Lin Han Mo", "Hai Zhuang Gu Yun", and "Communication and Integration". Representative figures and works of Lingnan Temple monks' calligraphy and painting are selected, and their artistic development and style are systematically sorted out to showcase the cultural cultivation and artistic achievements of Lingnan Temple monks. At the same time, the exhibition also presents the historical evolution, garden architecture, bonsai art, as well as cultural achievements in poetry education, scripture engraving, and other aspects of Haizhuang Temple in a three-dimensional manner through object sculptures, historical photos, and carved scriptures. In addition, the exhibition selects exhibits such as export paintings and foreign books and literature to highlight the special status and outstanding contributions of Haizhuang Temple in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Precious exhibits such as the running script work "Bodhi Tree Poem of Faxing Temple" by Shi Deqing in the Ming Dynasty, the bronze bell of the Bell Plate Hall of Haizhuang Temple during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the bamboo simplified character rubbings of the 1934 Shi Han Shi, and the export brochure of Haizhuang Temple customized by the Spanish Agate in 1796 have all been exhibited and attracted much attention.
