The launch ceremony for the creation and arrangement of the large-scale locally themed ancient costume Cantonese opera "Longkan Rock" was held on the 25th in Luoding, Yunfu, Guangdong. Lan Mei, Deputy Mayor of Luoding Municipal People's Government, stated that Luoding will showcase to the public the precious, glorious, and extraordinary nature of the Longkan Rock Cliff Carvings, a national key cultural relic protection unit, through the creation and arrangement of the Cantonese opera "Longkan Rock". The picture shows the Longkan Rock Cliff Carvings, one of the Eight Scenic Spots in Luoding. The Longkan Rock Cliff Carvings, located in Chanyang, Tanli Village, Pingtang Town, Luoding City, Yunfu City, provided by the Propaganda Department of the Luoding Municipal Committee, are the earliest surviving cliff carvings with the most written characters in Guangdong and the earliest stone carvings with absolute age in Lingnan. The newly compiled local themed ancient costume Cantonese opera "Longkan Rock" is set against the backdrop of Zhang Jianzhi, a famous prime minister who led the "Divine Dragon Coup" during the Tang and Zhou dynasties and was exiled to Gulangzhou (now Luoding) and chased by the Wu family in his later years. Combining the unique cultural connotations of the Longkan Rock Dojo, the story depicts the selfless rescue, treatment, and resolution of Zhang Jianzhi by local resident Fang Xuexia. Through a fallen prime minister, the story goes from selling characters to rewarding characters, and ultimately eliminates resentment and resentment in the heart, peacefully accepting the fate of the people of Gulangzhou. It praises the hardworking, kind, brave spirit, as well as the wise and tolerant character of the people of Gulangzhou. The drama has completed three rounds of script creation and entered the stage of music, stage design and other creative arrangements. It is planned to complete the creation and premiere in November 2024. At the ceremony, national first-class screenwriter Yu Chuxing, national first-class director Tang Lijuan, and national first-class stage beauty Pan Xiaoping used their professional knowledge and easy to understand language to give speeches on the play.
