Unlike the MiG-25P, which can only carry four air-to-air missiles, the MiG-31 not only carries a 23mm 6-tube rapid fire gun with 260 rounds of ammunition, but also multiple external points that can carry larger missiles. According to reports, these newly delivered fighter jets have been upgraded to the MiG-31BM version. The R-37 missile and its improved version R-37M are currently the only two mass-produced air launched missiles in the world capable of destroying any aerial target within a range of 300 kilometers.
