Chinese Navy's "Peace Ark" Hospital Ship Ends Visit to Tanzania and Goes to Madagascar

At 10:00 am local time on July 23rd, the Chinese Navy's "Peace Ark" hospital ship, which was carrying out the "Harmony Mission-2024" mission, successfully completed its visit to Tanzania, departed from Dar es Salaam Port, and headed to Madagascar, the third stop of the mission. During the 7-day friendly visit, the "Peace Ark" hospital ship treated more than 8000 patients, performed over 80 surgeries such as cataract recovery and renal cyst decompression, and successfully delivered the first "Peace Baby" of the "Harmony Mission-2024" mission. This is also the first "Peace Baby" delivered by the "Peace Ark" hospital ship in Tanzania. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, and the visit of the "Peace Ark" hospital ship to Tanzania is its third visit. When the hospital ship departed, Tanzania held a grand farewell ceremony. (New Society)
