Recently, the term "China travel" has become popular on a foreign platform, with a viewing volume of up to 700 million times. A group of foreigners who came to China for tourism filmed their travel experiences in China and posted them on social media, which made many foreigners who had never been to China before "plant grass". This phenomenon is not accidental, but reflects the practical results of China's relaxation of control measures and the provision of convenience for inbound tourism. It indicates that China's inbound tourism market is accelerating its recovery, thriving, and showing enormous development potential. Inbound tourism is an important criterion for measuring a country's international competitiveness in tourism. China has the richest tourism resources in the world, including diverse cultural heritage, traditional festivals, and ethnic culture, with unique advantages in tourism resources. Vigorously developing inbound tourism is an important manifestation of China's construction of a higher-level open economic system, as well as an effective way to facilitate international circulation. It is of great significance for promoting larger scale and higher quality cross-border flows of goods, services, and factors, driving consumption and investment in China, and driving economic growth. In recent years, both the national and local governments have introduced a series of major policies and effective measures to encourage and support inbound tourism, further increasing the opening up of the tourism sector to the outside world, implementing and strengthening various support measures related to inbound tourism, such as visiting scenic spots, hotel accommodation, and product supply. According to statistics from the National Immigration Administration, in the first half of this year, there were 14.635 million foreign arrivals at various ports across the country, a year-on-year increase of 152.7%. Foreigners come to China for tourism and sightseeing, accounting for more than 30%, and the potential demand for inbound tourism continues to be released. It should also be noted that there are still some bottlenecks and difficulties in inbound tourism in China. At present, China's visa policy is still relatively complex, with long approval times. Foreign tourists still find it inconvenient to use electronic payment methods, and the transportation convenience and infrastructure in some remote areas and second - and third tier cities are still not perfect. The quality of services, especially English service ability, still needs to be improved, and the development of tourism products lacks personalization and specialization. In the next stage, we should fully grasp the development opportunities of inbound tourism, take improving the quality of inbound tourism services as the starting point, optimize the convenience conditions of inbound tourism as the key, deeply connect with the characteristic and personalized tourism needs of foreign tourists, promote the application of information technology in the tourism field, and enhance the intelligence level of inbound tourism in China. Promote the development of smart tourism and upgrade services. Utilize information technology such as big data and the Internet of Things to enhance the intelligence level of tourism services. Promote mobile payment, intelligent navigation, electronic tickets and other services to enhance the intelligent experience of tourists. Establish a tourism big data platform to analyze the needs of foreign tourists and provide personalized and distinctive services. Strengthen multilingual services, increase multilingual navigation signage and service information. Establish a multilingual tourism consultation hotline and online service platform to ensure that tourists have no language barriers during their travels. Innovate tourism products and enhance cultural experiences. Combining China's abundant natural and cultural resources, develop cultural, ecological, and leisure tourism products with Chinese characteristics to meet the diverse tourism needs of international tourists. Promote characteristic tourism such as rural and red tourism, and enhance the diversity and attractiveness of tourism products. Strengthen international publicity and promotion, organize international tourism promotion conferences, participate in international tourism exhibitions, and enhance the international visibility and influence of Chinese tourism. Optimize entry policies and enhance visa convenience. Further simplify the visa application process, promote electronic visas and landing visas, shorten visa approval time, and improve visa approval rates. By signing visa free agreements with more countries and regions, expanding the scope of visa free and visa on arrival, and lowering the entry threshold for tourists. Optimize the border inspection process, improve the level of border inspection services, increase the number of border inspection channels, promote self-service customs clearance systems, and reduce the waiting time for tourists entering the country. Strengthen foreign language training for border inspection personnel to ensure smooth communication with international tourists. Improve infrastructure construction and transportation convenience. Improve the transportation network, strengthen the construction and upgrading of transportation hubs such as airports, ports, and train stations, and enhance the carrying capacity of transportation facilities. Optimize the transportation shuttle services in the scenic area to ensure that foreign tourists can easily reach their destinations. Strengthen the construction of infrastructure inside and outside the scenic area, improve service facilities such as public toilets, tourist centers, and parking lots, and enhance the comfort and satisfaction of foreign tourists.
