This set of planning data outlines the blueprint for Nanjing's artificial intelligence industry innovation highland. Recently, Nanjing City released the "1+1" document on artificial intelligence action plan and policy measures, namely the "Action Plan for Further Promoting the Innovation and Development of Artificial Intelligence in Nanjing City (2024-2026)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan") and the "Several Policy Measures for Promoting the Innovation and Development of Artificial Intelligence in Nanjing City" (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy Measures"), aiming to create a high ground for the development of the artificial intelligence industry with national influence through policy guidance, innovation drive, and application traction. Nanjing is the 9th national artificial intelligence innovation and application pilot zone approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the only one in Jiangsu province. It has a strong scientific and technological foundation and talent advantages, and has good conditions and broad prospects for the development of the artificial intelligence industry. The Action Plan proposes that by 2026, efforts will be made to introduce and cultivate one basic large-scale model of advanced domestic and foreign levels, create more than 20 industry large-scale models, and achieve a core industry scale of 60 billion yuan in artificial intelligence. To promote the implementation of the Action Plan, the Policy Measures propose 12 measures in four aspects: supporting breakthroughs in algorithm innovation, enhancing computing power support capabilities, promoting innovative demonstrations of "artificial intelligence+" applications, and building a good industrial ecosystem. At the 2024 Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Forum held recently, the "Artificial Intelligence+" application innovation demonstration scene collection action in Nanjing was officially launched, deeply exploring the integration and innovation application scenarios of "Artificial Intelligence+" with various industries. To build an innovation highland for the artificial intelligence industry in Nanjing, the government is taking action and the industry is also making efforts. At the 2024 Nanjing Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Forum, Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology signed a contract to jointly build a large-scale model technology and application service platform. The cooperation between the two sides has already yielded fruitful results, and the only artificial intelligence public technology service platform jointly built in Jiangsu Province has been connected to serve more than 100 enterprises in recent years. This time, the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence big models, which will promote the further expansion of the capabilities of provincial-level artificial intelligence public service platforms and open a new chapter for hospital local cooperation. In this forum activity, a total of 12 AI projects were signed and landed in China (Nanjing) Smart Valley, covering such cutting-edge AI fields as big models and edge computing. (New Society)
