Fu Cong said that the international community should practice multilateralism, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, take joint actions, and promote the return of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to the right track. The international community should place development at the core of international cooperation and fully implement the 2030 Agenda. Developed countries should provide financial, technological, and capacity-building support to developing countries, and effectively fulfill their official development assistance commitments. The international community should support the central coordinating role of the United Nations in international development cooperation, strengthen the alignment of development strategies among countries, and promote the construction of a global development pattern that is inclusive, balanced, open, inclusive, mutually beneficial, and prosperous. Fu Cong called on the international community to strengthen global poverty reduction cooperation and not let any country or person fall behind. Fu Cong said that efforts should be made to maintain global food security and fully achieve the goal of zero hunger. The international community should strengthen cooperation in grain production, storage and transportation, grain conservation and loss reduction, promote the transformation of the food and agriculture system, and enhance the self-sufficiency of developing countries in grain production. Developed countries should increase their support for capacity building in developing countries. Countries should promote the improvement of a fair and reasonable international food trade order, fully leverage the role of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, maintain stability in the international food market, and avoid politicizing food security issues. He stated that we must uphold common but differentiated responsibilities and work together to address climate change. The international community should comprehensively and effectively implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Paris Agreement. Developed countries should take the lead in significantly reducing emissions, achieving carbon neutrality ahead of schedule, and effectively fulfilling commitments in climate finance and other areas. Fu Cong said that the United Nations will hold a future summit in September this year, which is highly concerned by the international community. The Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative will continue to participate constructively in the preparation process for future summits, promoting the construction of a better future shared by all countries.
