On the 16th, the joint exercise of "Friendship Shield 2024" between China and Laos was organized and conducted at the command post of the Kumadan Academy of the Lao People's Army. After the chief director issued the order to start the exercise, the commanders of both sides combined regional satellite images and other information to carry out combat planning. The comprehensive planning group, guidance and support group, political work group, and other positions adopted a combination of situational guidance and document guidance to guide the staff of both China and Laos to conduct enemy situation analysis, situational analysis, and scenario operations, and command the Chinese and Laos task forces to carry out combat preparations. In order to hone the commander's ability to make quick decisions and commands, this joint exercise has appropriately increased the proportion of on-site guidance and coordination, while paying more attention to guiding the Chinese and old armies to plan and deeply integrate under different command methods and habits, actively exploring the command and control process of joint task forces, and achieving joint action planning and efficient command and disposal.
