On July 14th, the Chinese medical team participating in the China Laos "Friendship Shield 2024" joint exercise, together with Lao medical staff, provided free medical consultations for local residents at the Kumadan Academy of the Lao People's Army. On the basis of previous communication with the Lao side, the Chinese participating troops fully considered the needs of the local people, selected more than 20 medical experts from 9 departments including internal medicine, surgery, traditional Chinese medicine, orthopedics, and dentistry, and treated over 300 local military and civilians. The medical expert team patiently and meticulously understands the situation of each patient, providing professional diagnostic opinions, drug prescriptions, on-site treatment, and health guidance, and enthusiastically assisting patients. The Chinese participating troops also donated some medicines to Laos, and medical personnel from both sides exchanged and discussed traditional Chinese medicine technology, disease prevention and control methods, further deepening cooperation and mutual trust. During the joint performance, the Chinese medical team adopted a combination of on-site support and mobile patrols to provide medical services for the participating officers and soldiers of both China and Laos, providing a solid foundation for the smooth completion of the joint performance tasks.
