The Great Heat Festival is approaching, and Taiwan has been experiencing continuous high temperatures recently, but it does not affect the enthusiasm of the public to search for summer travel destinations.
At the Anhui booth of the tourism exhibition, where the guest of honor was from the province of Anhui, Taipei citizens lined up to take photos with the actors after performing exciting scenes such as the Huangmei opera "Couple Returns Home Together"; In the Shandong booth, Paper Cuttings artist Zhou Kesheng took a pair of scissors and a piece of paper in his hand, and half a minute later, a lifelike silhouette was born, which surprised the onlookers; The Fujian booth showcased selected segments of classic Gaojia opera plays and puppetry skills, and also brought the clothes and headwear of local "Crab Pu Girls" to the venue to help the public try them on
At this tourism exhibition, a total of 155 cultural and tourism departments and enterprises from 12 provinces in mainland China participated, making it the largest exchange group from mainland China to Taiwan after the epidemic. The mainland exhibition area has a total of 75 booths, and each province promotes its unique tourism resources based on its local advantages.
According to the organizer, the daily average number of visitors to the tourism exhibition during the two days of opening is about 70000. In front of the booths of various provinces in mainland China, there is a continuous stream of Taiwanese people watching performances, experiencing local specialties, inquiring about tourist attractions, and requesting travel brochures. Among them, electronic payment is a hot topic for consultation. To this end, cross-strait tourism exchange associations and booths have prepared exhibition boards to demonstrate the process of WeChat and Alipay binding overseas credit cards step by step.
Finding one's ancestral home has become a great pleasure for Taiwanese people visiting tourism exhibitions. Emotionally saying 'I am from Anhui' and 'I am from Henan', chatting about the scenery of my hometown, deeply moved the mainland staff. In the Hanfu Experience Area, 24 sets of various traditional costumes allow visitors to immerse themselves in the literati charm of the "Lanting Elegant Collection".
Ms. Lin, a resident of Taipei, took her husband and son to experience Hanfu together. After taking photos as a souvenir, she walked around the exhibition area and expressed satisfaction with her new look. She told reporters that she saw others wearing Hanfu online and thought it was beautiful and fresh. She was very happy to experience it here.
"I saw the characteristics of various places in the mainland exhibition area, and I want to take a look at the local place." Ms. Lin said that she was sorry that she had not been able to travel to the mainland. In her tourism list, the food of Suzhou and the beautiful scenery of Mount Huangshan are the first choices. There is also Altay in Xinjiang, where I often see people sharing stills from 'My Altay' and local scenery on Xiaohongshu. The beautiful scenery there is very attractive to me
At the booth in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, a group of young people surrounded the staff and carefully inquired about personal travel plans, discussing travel strategies on site. Taiwanese youth Ou Dingyuan told reporters that he came to the travel exhibition to see what other scenery in mainland China he didn't know about. He just saw that there are places in Wenzhou that are suitable for shooting ancient costumes, as well as Baizhanghuo Waterfall, and he really wants to go there.
I have been to cities in mainland China four or five times, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, etc., and I really like them all. The people in mainland China are very enthusiastic and the language is common, so every trip is something I am looking forward to. "Ou Dingyuan likes to eat spicy food, and he has heard that the spiciness in each province of mainland China is different, so he really wants to experience it.
On the large screen of the tourism exhibition stage, tourism promotional videos from various provinces are playing in a rolling manner, and the audience below the stage is filled with spectators. Mr. Wu, who is nearly eighty years old, told reporters that he came to the travel exhibition to learn about suitable personal travel plans for the elderly. His first trip to mainland China was over 40 years ago. The mainland is developing too fast, and every time I go there, it feels different. I have been to Jiangnan three or four times, and last month I went again, which is different from what I saw before
Every place in mainland China has its own characteristics, with ancient towns or streets. Through the introduction of tour guides, I can absorb a lot of local knowledge. Both sides of the Taiwan Strait inherit Chinese culture, so we should have more exchanges, "Mr. Wu said.
According to statistics from the Taiwan Transportation Authority, the number of Taiwanese tourists visiting mainland China has exceeded one million since January this year. Last year, the total number of tourists from Taiwan to mainland China was only 1.76 million.
Li Qiyue, Chairman of the Taiwan Chinese Quality Tourism Development Association, stated that recently, the high traffic brought by mainland Chinese films and TV dramas such as "Flowers" and "My Altay" has affected the travel preferences of Taiwanese people. Following in the footsteps of "Blooming Flowers" and "Altay" to travel has become a trend, which is driven by cross-strait film and television cultural exchanges and tourism exchanges, and is a good integration of culture and tourism.
