The promotion ceremony for the rank of General by the Central Military Commission was held on the 9th at the August 1st Building in Beijing.  
At around 4 pm, the promotion ceremony began with the solemn national anthem of the People's Republic of China.   Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, He Weidong, presided over the promotion ceremony.
The promotion ceremony ended with the resounding sound of the Chinese People's Liberation Army military song.
Members of the Central Military Commission, including Liu Zhenli, Miao Hua, and Zhang Shengmin, as well as major officials from various departments of the Military Commission and relevant units of the military stationed in Beijing, attended the promotion ceremony.
