Walking into the Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall located in the Suide County Cultural Museum in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, one by one, adorable Kang head lions come into view. "This is the traditional 'mascot' of northern Shaanxi," enthusiastically introduced by Bao Haidong, a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage Suide stone carving at the city level at the age of 44. He made many Kang head lions in the exhibition hall. 3 national intangible cultural heritage projects, with 5 inheritors; 11 provincial-level intangible cultural heritage projects, with 17 inheritors; 23 items of municipal intangible cultural heritage, with 61 inheritors... In Suide County, rich intangible cultural heritage resources are revitalized and utilized, and the small town is full of cultural atmosphere. Folk art is characterized by a small display area and a lot of content. At the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall in Suide County, there is a dazzling array of unique folk arts from northern Shaanxi. Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall has two floors. On the first floor, there are three national intangible cultural heritage projects, namely Suide Stone Carving, Suimi Suona and Northern Shaanxi Yangge. On the second floor, there are 12 provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage projects, including Suide Paper Cuttings and clay sculpture. "We make full use of limited space and showcase as many intangible cultural heritage projects as possible, introducing the history and culture of Suide." Yan Hui, Deputy Director of Suide County Cultural Museum, said. Embracing three strings and leg tied swing boards, on the second floor of the exhibition hall, Li Kang, a storyteller from northern Shaanxi, had a loud voice, and the surrounding audience was watching intently. In the courtyard downstairs, gongs and drums are played, suona is played, and yangko is played, making it particularly lively. Luo Shengjun, the curator of Suide County Cultural Museum and the director of Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, introduced that the exhibition hall held characteristic activities in combination with the intangible cultural heritage culture, added an exhibition interaction area for inheritors in the museum, displayed stone carvings, clay sculptures, Paper Cuttings, northern Shaanxi folk songs and other intangible cultural heritage projects, and built an immersive non relics inspection center. Audiences can have close contact with inheritors of intangible cultural heritage and showcase it in a dynamic and static way, which is our characteristic. This can better share the achievements of intangible cultural heritage protection and showcase the charm of traditional culture Yan Hui said. As a provincial representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage Shaanbei folk songs, Luo Shengjun voluntarily took on the important task of being a resident Shaanbei folk song singer in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall to build resource archives for intangible cultural heritage projects. Whenever audiences interested in Shaanbei folk songs come to visit, Luo Shengjun always showcases his singing skills and conveys the charm of the Loess Plateau to audiences from all over the country. "Shaanbei folk songs, storytelling, and other skills have long been passed down through the hearts of experienced artists, and inheritance is not easy." Luo Shengjun admitted that how to better protect and inherit these skills has been a question he has been thinking about. In recent years, Luo Shengjun has organized relevant personnel to carry out investigations on intangible cultural heritage projects and resources in the Yellow River Basin, established resource archives for intangible cultural heritage projects, and digitally preserved them using text, images, and other methods. "We have compiled over 300 Shaanbei folk songs sung by old artists in their original way, and distributed printed books and recorded materials such as' Shaanbei Yangge 'to various villages." Luo Shengjun said that these materials are not only the preservation of intangible cultural heritage projects, but also the learning resources for young inheritors. "We look forward to inheritors bringing forth new ideas and creating more excellent works, in order to drive more people to understand and protect intangible cultural heritage." Luo Shengjun said that in the next step, the Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall will promote the deep integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, and launch a variety of intangible cultural heritage themed routes and tourism cultural and creative products. Intangible cultural heritage can be seen in stone carvings and decorations everywhere in thousands of households, square dances embedded with Shaanbei Yangko elements, and resounding and distant Shaanbei folk songs... Walking out of the exhibition hall, strolling through the streets and alleys of Suide County, people can always meet intangible cultural heritage. In the summer evening, the downstairs of Shipai Building, located in the southeast of Suide County, is gradually bustling with activity. The loud sound of the suona sounded, and members of the Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Yangko sedan team held umbrellas and took steps, attracting citizens and tourists to stop. "It's both rehearsal and leisure entertainment, which is a part of our lives," said Liu Qiang, the person in charge of the Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Yangko Sedan Team. Behind him, accompanied by cheerful music, the children watching twisted in a graceful manner. "In March of this year, the intangible cultural heritage representative team formed by the Suide County Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall also performed in Germany, and foreign audiences gave a thumbs up." Luo Shengjun said. The stone archway of "Famous State in the World" also has stories. In the eyes of the locals, it showcases the stone carving skills of Suide. "When building the stone archway, we organized more than 200 stonemasons and carved 1168 stones, using almost all the carving techniques," said Bao Haidong. Nowadays, Suide stone carvings are not only found in many places, but also sold to countries such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States. There are over 1000 stone carving practitioners in the county, with an annual output value of 150 million yuan throughout the entire industry chain. In recent years, Bao Haidong has focused his development on designing cultural and creative products. "We have made some smaller and more diverse stone carving cultural and creative products that young people love," said Bao Haidong. Now, Suide County is still carrying out planned activities, such as entering campuses, communities, scenic spots, and rural areas, to bring intangible cultural heritage into thousands of households. Ma Zhiguo, the Dean of the Intellectual Property Research Institute at Xi'an Jiaotong University, is from Suide and often takes students back to their hometowns for research. Ma Zhiguo said, "Here, we feel the love of our hometown people for intangible cultural heritage engraved in their bones, and we also appreciate the profound charm of China's excellent traditional culture."
