The 2024 "Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland Youth Legal Exchange Week" event was launched

On July 8th, 2024, the opening ceremony of the "Hong Kong Macao Mainland Youth Legal Exchange Week" was held in Beijing. This exchange week event is hosted by the China Law Society, organized by the China Law Academic Exchange Center, the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, and the Jiangsu Provincial Law Society. 59 law students and young lawyers from Hong Kong and Macau will participate in legal related exchange activities in Beijing and Nanjing in the next week. The meeting pointed out that inviting young people from Hong Kong and Macao to Beijing and Nanjing to organize activities such as visits and exchanges, youth symposiums, and ice breaking events is aimed at deepening everyone's understanding of the mainland of China, promoting dialogue and exchange between Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland youth, enhancing understanding and deepening friendship, and jointly creating a better tomorrow for the great motherland. I hope that young friends from Hong Kong and Macao can cultivate a strong sense of patriotism and become defenders and disseminators of patriotism; Always maintain confidence in the "One Country, Two Systems" system and be a defender and defender of the Constitution and the Basic Law; Actively integrate into the overall situation of national development and become a practitioner and contributor of Chinese path to modernization. Zhang Mingqi, member of the Party Group, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Law Society, and Deng Zhonghua, President of the National Hong Kong and Macao Research Association and former Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Wang Qijiang, a member of the Party Group and Vice President of the China Law Society, presided over the opening ceremony and special report. Zhang Yong, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Committees of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and President of the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, attended the opening ceremony and gave a special report after the opening ceremony. Officials from the Central Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Committees of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress attended the opening ceremony. The main responsible personnel of relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the China Law Society attended the opening ceremony. Li Yinglin, a representative of Hong Kong students and a student of the University of Hong Kong, and Li Yingyi, a representative of Macau students and a student of the University of Macau, attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches. The Hong Kong Macao Mainland Youth Legal Exchange Week is an important platform for legal exchanges between Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China established by the China Law Society. Since its launch in 2008, it has successfully held related activities for 16 consecutive years, making positive contributions to deepening legal exchanges between Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China.
