The final of the second Beijing Quju Fan Competition recently concluded at the South Gate Theater of the Temple of Heaven. Beijing Quju is one of the representatives of Beijing's active culture and the only local opera genre native to Beijing. In 2021, Beijing Quju was included in the fifth batch of representative projects of municipal intangible cultural heritage in Beijing. It is reported that the registration and preliminary rounds of this year's fan competition will be conducted online, and the finals will be conducted through on-site evaluation. The finals are mainly divided into individual youth group, individual adult group, and group group group. There are a total of 14 finalists in the individual youth group finals, with the youngest being only 6 years old. There are a total of 12 finalists in the individual adult group finals. The finalists for the group finals include drama clubs from Beijing No.18 Middle School and Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School Shangdi School, as well as amateur drama clubs from streets such as Guangwai, Hepingli, and Shichahai, as well as Beijing Quju Study Society from Xicheng District Cultural Center. The oldest contestant is 81 years old. In addition to the classic singing sections of Beijing opera and traditional Quyi programs, there are also new programs created or adapted by the contestants among the shortlisted programs. During the finals, Beijing opera fans showcased their skills, showcased excellent performances, and showcased their brilliance. More than 30 programs, including "Four Generations Together", "Longxu Gou", and "Tea House", were presented to the audience. This year's fan competition invited Beijing opera masters as judges. Beijing opera masters such as Zhang Shaorong and Sun Ning rated the performance of the fans from a professional perspective. After intense competition, they finally selected 4 individual gold awards, 8 silver awards, 11 bronze awards, and 2 special awards, 3 team organization awards, 2 team excellent awards, and 1 team special award.
