This international standard was developed by China and was jointly completed by Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as the project leader in six countries, Australia, Canada, Ghana, Italy, Japan, and Saudi Arabia, after seven stages and three years. "It is of great significance to establish ISO international standards for 'disposable sterile triangular needles' to ensure the quality and safety of triangular needle equipment, and to enhance the safety and effectiveness of triangular needle therapy." According to experts in the relevant field, the triangular needle therapy is widely used worldwide and has definite therapeutic effects; The unique structural design of the triangular needle can meet all specific operational requirements of the triangular needle therapy. When performing bloodletting, it can achieve better and faster healing with minimal trauma and meet clinical requirements. This international standard, as a standard for traditional Chinese medicine equipment, reflects the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, the release of this international standard also lays the foundation for international clinical cooperation and scientific research in the triangular needle therapy. Tianjin has always attached great importance to the standardization of traditional Chinese medicine, and has successively established the Tianjin Technical Committee for Standardization of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Tianjin Institute of Standardization of Traditional Chinese Medicine, accelerating the improvement of standardization support service capabilities and levels. By formulating a number of influential Tianjin standards, we aim to solidify the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and lead the inheritance, innovation, and development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. At present, Tianjin City is leading the formulation of 98 standards in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, including 3 ISO international standards, 4 international organization standards, 5 national standards, and 3 English versions of national standards; There are 28 pharmaceutical standards under study, including 12 international organization standards.
