2024 is the 103rd anniversary of the CPC. On July 5th, the exhibition performance of Liwan Cantonese Opera, the hometown of Chinese folk art, was held at the Cantonese Opera Art Museum. Nearly 50 outstanding literary and artistic workers and enthusiasts, using art forms such as Cantonese opera, Cantonese opera, Cantonese music, clapper board, song and dance, inherit the red gene with local sounds and rhymes, and sing about a beautiful new life. The event was organized by the Duobao Street Working Committee of the Communist Party of China in Liwan District, Guangzhou, the Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles in Liwan District, and the Guangzhou Quyi Artists Association. The Guangdong Opera Quyi Association of Liwan District and the Yongqingfang Community Committee of Duobao Street in Liwan District of Guangzhou jointly hosted the event. Nearly 60000 people watched the live broadcast of the event on Greater Bay Area TV's "Bay Area Cultural Square" online. Liwan, as the core area of Lingnan cultural center, is the birthplace of Cantonese opera and folk art. With its Cantonese opera and folk music, it has been awarded titles such as "Hometown of Chinese Quyi", "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art", and "Ecological Protection Experimental Zone of Cantonese Opera and Folk Music Culture (Liwan)". The Guangzhou Liwan District Cantonese Opera and Quyi Association has been established for 25 years, rooted in Liwan and serving Liwan. It currently has nearly 1000 members and 51 group members, deepening the accumulation of Cantonese opera and Quyi artistic atmosphere in the area and promoting the vigorous development of Cantonese opera and Quyi activities. The flag of "Liwan Cantonese Opera, Quyi, and Literature Volunteer Service Team" was awarded. Yongqingfang is located in Duobao Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou. It is one of the first historical and cultural blocks in Guangzhou, one of the first national level tourist resorts in the country, an advanced model of urban renewal and old city renovation, and a perfect embodiment of the integration of Lingnan culture and modern fashion. In order to better carry out cultural and artistic volunteer work and serve the people with Cantonese Opera and Quyi, before the start of this performance, the Liwan District Cantonese Opera and Quyi Association and Yongqingfang Community respectively established cultural and artistic volunteer service teams and were awarded the flag of the service team. The performance of a cultural program showcasing unique and rich cultural characteristics, showcasing the beauty of Guangzhou, the flower city of the new era, and the unique cultural atmosphere of Liwan, is exciting and diverse. It reminds people of their nostalgia and original intention. Quyi performs "Ode to the New Appearance of the Old City", "Enjoy the Yongqing Square", and "Dream City", while playing the pipa and guzheng and singing "Praise for Fragrant Tea". Through the touching Cantonese melody, it depicts the prosperous scenes of happy and peaceful New Guangzhou and New Liwan, taking the audience to appreciate the culture of Guangzhou and the spiritual outlook of Liwan people. The children's Cantonese opera "Yang Bajie" performs the theme Cantonese opera work "Monument" to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Long March, presenting the revolutionary spirit of the People's Army in overcoming difficulties, sacrificing oneself for others, and selflessly dedicating oneself. The "intellectual struggle" in Cantonese opera "Shajiabang" inspires people's admiration for the heroes and revolutionary predecessors of the Chinese nation. The children's Cantonese opera "Yang Bajie" and the children's Quyi performance "Xiguan Shitongtian" make the audience feel the hope of Liwan, the hometown of Quyi, for the inheritance of traditional culture and the dedication to the cultivation of Cantonese opera talents. Quyi performed Cantonese songs such as "Journey to Yongqing Fang", "Ode to the Party's Grace in the Flower City", and "Ode to the Return". Led by the bamboo violin, she played "Xiaoqu and On the Golden Mountain in Beijing" and "Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China", passionately praising the great Party, celebrating the return of Hong Kong and Macao, and realizing the Chinese Dream together in China. The song duet "Ode to Happiness" and the dance "On the Field of Hope" use music and dance to make people feel the infinite love of the people for their motherland and hometown, inspiring them to constantly strive and strive. The lively singing and dancing, the moving traditional Chinese opera, and the wonderful performances of the actors have allowed the community and members to enjoy an unforgettable artistic education.
