Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, recently conducted research in Tibet related counties in Sichuan. From the 1st to the 3rd, Wang Huning visited rural areas, schools, patriotic education bases, wetland protection areas, and religious sites in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, respectively. He conducted in-depth exchanges with people of all ethnic groups and religious figures, and learned about the economic and social development, ethnic and religious work, and other related situations in Tibetan counties. He stated that Sichuan firmly implements the decision and deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on work related to Tibet, and remarkable achievements have been made in the economic and social development of Tibetan counties, with people of all ethnic groups living and working in peace and contentment. We should promote the work of building a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation, and enhance the recognition of the people of all ethnic groups to the great motherland, the Chinese nation, Chinese culture, the CPC, and socialism with Chinese characteristics. To promote rural revitalization, develop advantageous characteristic industries on the plateau, and consolidate and improve the effectiveness of ecological environment protection. We should widely carry out patriotic education and ethnic unity and progress education among people of all ethnic groups, especially young people, and improve the education level in ethnic areas, especially remote agricultural and pastoral areas.
