It is reported that the cross-border highway shuttle bus routes of the Western Land Sea New Corridor have reached 19 countries including Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Kazakhstan, Germany, etc. The operating frequency has been increased from once a week in 2016 to 20 per day now. As one of the three main organizational and operational modes of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, the cross-border highway shuttle bus is an international highway logistics corridor jointly led by the Banan District Government and Chongqing Gongyun Group, operated and built by Chongqing Gongyun ASEAN International Logistics Co., Ltd. Relying on this important channel, a dazzling array of goods continuously enter and exit the country. Data shows that from January to May this year, a total of 1491 cross-border highway buses operated on the Western Land Sea New Corridor, with a total weight of approximately 26900 tons of goods. The cross-border highway shuttle bus has formed a transportation network system that radiates the entire Indochinese Peninsula, connecting Central Asia, South Asia, and Europe with "3 directions, 11 lines, and 23 ports". Compared with sea transportation, the cross-border highway shuttle bus of the Western Land Sea New Corridor has significantly shortened the logistics time from western China to Southeast Asia and other regions. At present, Chinese goods such as mechanical and electrical products, auto parts, and accessories are being transported to the world through the cross-border road shuttle bus of the Western Land Sea New Corridor, and more and more goods from overseas are entering China through this.
