Intelligent detection, intelligent supervision, and visualized grain depots... Grain reserves are becoming increasingly intelligent. Jiangsu strengthens the integration and application of green storage facilities, green grain storage technology, and green grain depot management, accelerates the construction of modern grain depots, and achieves grain saving, loss reduction, and optimal grain storage through intelligent transformation. "Please pass." Accompanied by an identity verification prompt, the last batch of summer wheat stored by Suzhou Suken Modern Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. this year has arrived at the storage area of Kunshan Grain Storage Co., Ltd. of Jiangsu Grain Group (hereinafter referred to as "Kunshan Warehouse"), and the summer grain storage work is about to be successfully completed. After harvesting grain crops such as wheat and rice, they need to be transported to nearby grain depots for storage, and storage conditions determine the duration and quality of grain preservation. In recent years, Jiangsu has accelerated the construction of modern grain depots. By strengthening green storage facilities, green grain storage technology, and integrated application of green grain depot management, efforts have been made to build a "green grain depot" with temperature control storage, quality preservation, reduced use of chemicals, increased efficiency, and a friendly storage environment. This has achieved grain conservation, energy reduction, and consumption reduction, and the quality of grain reserves is continuously improving. Within 15 minutes, a detection report will be produced. The intelligent transformation allows for visible and slender hollow iron pipes to be inserted into the truck hopper from the top of the grain storage process. Grains of wheat will be drawn into sampling containers, and each point can be sampled in just a few seconds. This is the first step in grain storage and storage - cutting samples, with the purpose of roughly checking the condition of the grain, checking the integrity of the grains, sand content, etc. "Previously, people climbed onto cars and manually dug them out with tools, which was time-consuming, laborious, and unsafe." Wang Jun, Deputy Manager of the Processing and Sales Department of Suzhou Suken Modern Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., is 57 years old and a veteran of grain work. He has been working on a farm since the age of 20 and is familiar with various aspects of grain cultivation, procurement, storage, and sales. "Nowadays, grain storage, cutting, and testing are very fast, and drying services are also provided. Tidal grains can also be directly stored." Wang Jun's "testing" is another important step before grain storage - a comprehensive "physical examination" of grain from impurities, imperfect grains, moisture, and other aspects to determine the quality level of grain. In the past, many grain depots used the old method of "grabbing teeth by hand", which had a considerable subjectivity; Later on, some granaries became capable of quality inspection, but it often took one or two hours to produce reports, and the error rate was still difficult to control. Nowadays, by pouring grains into a "black box" and selecting them according to actual needs, a testing report can be issued in less than 15 minutes - this is the integrated platform for intelligent testing of grain being piloted and applied in Kunshan Warehouse, achieving full process automation and unmanned testing of grain in and out of the warehouse. Fast speed, accurate data, and more reassuring, this is Wang Jun's intuitive perception of the current sampling and testing process. In the past, manual inspection had a high error rate, but now the storage indicators are considerable and traceable, which is reflected in various aspects of grain storage today. Yao Tianhao, Deputy Manager of the Warehouse Department of Kunshan Warehouse, opened the Jiangsu Provincial Local Reserve Grain Cloud Service System to retrieve warehouse data. Under the three-dimensional model, each area inside the grain depot is accurately cut and divided. Dragging the mouse, the grain depot model rotates up and down, clear and intuitive. Big data, artificial intelligence and other technologies are applied to the grain storage process, establishing single warehouse archives and data models, and developing business warning algorithm projects based on classification. "Building a three-dimensional visualization grain depot and intelligent supervision platform, committed to information technology transformation, to make grain storage more tangible and tangible," said Ding Xihua, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Reserve Grain Management Co., Ltd. The application of 168 sensors for accurate temperature control technology makes grain storage greener and safer. Pushing open the warehouse door, gusts of cool wind hit, and the fragrance of the grain fills the air. It is understood that the average temperature of this granary remains stable at around 13 degrees Celsius throughout the year, making it an ultra-low temperature granary. Why do grains need to live in air-conditioned rooms? "Lowering the temperature of grain storage can slow down the physiological metabolism rate of grain during storage, reduce dry matter loss, and maintain the freshness and nutritional content of grain." Huang Xirong, Chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Reserve Grain Company, introduced that low-temperature grain storage not only maintains the original quality of grain, inhibits the growth of pests and fungi, but also reduces chemical pollution. It is a globally recognized green grain storage technology. In high temperature environments in summer, the external high temperature will be transmitted to the warehouse through the roof of the warehouse wall, resulting in a cold and heat exchange with the grain pile, causing the grain temperature at the warehouse wall to gradually increase, thereby forming a "hot skin and cold core" phenomenon of the grain pile, causing insect infestation and mold growth in the grain. How to solve it? Yao Tianhao said that each grain bin in Kunshan Warehouse has 168 sensors, which can accurately grasp the temperature of different areas in the grain bin and adjust the grain storage strategy based on the data. Located inside the granary, the chimney style white pipes arranged every 60 centimeters around the edges are particularly prominent. There are also 6 cooling fans installed around the walls of the granary. When the heat rises, the staff transports the cold air generated by the specialized air conditioning system to the insulation layer on the inner wall of the granary through the chimney style white pipes. Huang Xirong told reporters that the warehouse adopts the "five sided temperature control" warehousing technology independently developed by Jiangsu Grain Group, and also applies low-temperature internal circulation technology. The cold source of the grain pile itself is used to control the temperature of the warehouse and the surface grain. Under the action of the circulating fan, the upper and lower air in the warehouse operates in a closed circulation system, achieving low-temperature grain storage and achieving the effect of no fumigation. Pest control is directly related to the safety of grain storage and is an indispensable part of grain storage. At present, most regions of China's grain depots still use manual inspections for pest control, and open weekly sampling to determine the proliferation of pests in grain depots. When the temperature is high, pests multiply quickly and cause great damage to food within a week. The smart granary adopts intelligent monitoring - allowing pests to come and report their numbers on their own. In the grain depot, high-precision cameras detect pests crawling into pipelines, and the data in the backend system is dynamically updated. "Using inducers, attract pests to pass through sensor points, increase parameters such as pest species and density, and gas concentration in the warehouse. At the same time, intelligent analysis technology is used to accumulate pest data, predict pests, and establish recognition models to achieve early warning of pest scale and types, ensuring the safety of grain storage." Introduction by Huang Xirong. In 2022, in order to promote the construction of high standard modern granaries, Jiangsu Grain Group has established the "Liu Tianyu Master Studio". The team leader, Liu Tianyu, is the Deputy General Manager of Kunshan Grain Storage Co., Ltd. and also the head of the company's scientific research team. Do frontline granaries also need research teams? "Grain storage is a technical task, and the lack of high-quality talents on the front line of grain storage will lead to slow development of grain storage technology." Liu Tianyu said that traditional grain storage operations such as cutting, testing, and grain storage management can no longer meet the scientific and intelligent needs of grain storage. In the future, the focus of work will shift from a single operational job to cultivating more scientific and technological talents. At the same time, deepening industry university research cooperation and coordinating school enterprise co construction cooperation are also important directions for the future development of grassroots grain depots. "Many scientific research projects require a large number of application scenarios to transition from laboratories to the market. One of our studio's tasks is to incubate and implement scientific research projects towards the industrial direction." Liu Tianyu said that the five sided temperature control technology, multi-dimensional real-time online monitoring system for grain conditions, and grain intelligence platform currently used in granaries have all contributed by the master studio. At the age of 27, Wu Junfeng has been working for one year and usually assumes the responsibilities of quality inspector and laboratory technician. He also participates in the research projects of the Master Studio during the rest of his time. "After the granary is equipped with a dryer, damp grains can also be directly purchased, but the temperature and time of the dryer are often not well controlled, which can easily lead to the situation of rice grains' bursting '." Wu Junfeng said that if there is too much broken rice, the rice yield will decrease by 3 to 5 points. Wu Junfeng searched for information and combined it with experiments to calculate the optimal drying temperature and time for different types of grains. He optimized the parameter settings for rice drying, allowing the rice yield to reach the level of natural sun drying. A thousand hectares of wheat fields, grains returned to the warehouse. The summer grain storage work in Jiangsu has been basically completed. With the support of technology, we strive to make every golden grain of wheat a smart "home" and ensure the quality and safety of grain reserves. As of now, the intact warehouse capacity in Jiangsu Province has reached 46.57 million tons, with a modern warehousing facility coverage rate of 87.5%. The capacity of low-temperature and quasi low-temperature grain storage warehouses has reached 23.48 million tons, ranking among the top in the country, striving to achieve safe grain storage and optimal grain storage.
