In the past five years of commercial use of 5G, China has adhered to the principle of "moderately leading and promoting use through construction", solidly promoting the coordinated development of 5G "construction, use, and research", and has accelerated the development of 5G. According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, 5G directly drives a total economic output of about 5.6 trillion yuan, effectively promoting high-quality economic and social development. The 5G network continues to move from being connected to counties to being connected to villages. More than 90% of 5G base stations have achieved co construction and sharing, and the energy consumption of 5G base stations has decreased by 20% compared to the initial commercial stage. The global proportion of essential patent declarations for 5G standards exceeds 42%, actively contributing Chinese wisdom to international standards. The commercial deployment of 5G lightweight and customized base stations has been achieved, and a batch of new terminals such as 5G industrial gateways and inspection robots have been successfully developed and applied. 5G has achieved scale replication in key industries such as mining, power, and healthcare. The application of 5G in the industrial sector is gradually deepening towards research and development, design, production, and manufacturing, exploring high-value application scenarios such as 5G+AI quality inspection.
